The Lavender Hill Farm in Niles, MI

The lavender scent is one of my favorites. It's so soothing and uplifting. I’m not exaggerating when I say that one of the highlights of last summer is a visit to Lavender Hill, a farm located about 2.5 hours from Chicago in southwest Michigan. During lavender bloom time (late June to mid-July), Lavender Hill allows guests to visit their scenic farm to explore and pick lavender (just $5 a bunch). I made a few sachets with the three bunches I cut. A visit to Lavender Hill will definitely be my new annual summer tradition.
